When viewed from the bank of the Rio Grande at the Tamaya, the Sandia mountains take the shape of the “normal” distribution or curve as defined in mathematics. This curve shows the inevitable variance of a parameter such as height or weight in a population, where most of the population is in the middle with less on the extreme left and right.
